Pipe Contest Site

The first day of the Pipeline Masters is done. After a rare flat spell the waves picked up and the surfers have been pulling into some overhead barrels at the renowned backdoor at Banzai Pipeline.

It has been a great day of seeing surfers compete and hanging out with some new friends. Although it has been a huge year for the tour, with the mid year cut-off from 45 surfers to 32, to saying farewell to one of the greatest surfers of all time Andy Irons (A.I.). Today we are blessed with the birth of Andy and Lindy's son, Andy Axel Irons. Lindy gave birth to baby Andy Axel this morning on the island of Kauai. We are stoked to see Andy's legacy continue on in his son. Proud uncle Bruce competed in the contest today shortly after holding his new nephew.

Lize and I are enjoying our last event for 2010 and thank you for your prayers and support as we finish the year on a high!

(Thanks to Buddy and Lize for taking some awesome shots)
